| Think of il Solé Restaurant and Wine Bar
as an Italian Gem. We capture the flavors and earthly character
of the Mediterranean, where food is tied to nature and to the
seasons. We offer food reminiscent of lush Tuscany and of the
California wine regions. We use the finest ingredients that
reflect the earth, the sun, and the sea.
Il Sole is an unassuming restaurant with a casually chic
ambiance that is timeless and original. Our goal is to alter
the fine dining experience in Dallas by keeping our food simple,
our ingredients fresh, and your visit memorable.

The wine selections flatter executive Chef Matt Bodnars' memorable
dishes. Such starters as pan-fried calamari with a zesty red chile
sauce and cilantro oil, steamed mussels embellished with spinach and
peppers in a soothing white wine broth, spicy shrimp bisque with crispy
Gulf shrimp and Italian parsley croutons, and carpaccio of beef are
reminiscent of the heart and soul of rustic Provencal cooking.
The concept for il Solé resulted from the Blacks' travels
through the wine regions of Italy, France, and California. The Blacks'
have a 3,000-bottle wine collection, and they feature wine flights
in addition to special wine tastings.
